Westport family mourns loss of local DJ

A Westport disc jockey whose career spanned more than half a century died on Tuesday.
DJ Ed Baer started out in Fairfield County before he became a DJ at WMCA in New York City.
Baer's family says he loved interviewing celebrities, such as Aretha Franklin.
He worked at stations around the region and played pop, country and oldies. Baer recently recorded his own satellite radio show in his basement studio.
Baer's funeral will be held Friday at Temple Israel.
His family says they'll continue to sell his record collection online.
