3rd suspect in Valley Stream armored truck heist surrenders to FBI

A third suspect wanted in connection with an armored truck heist in Valley Stream surrendered to the FBI.
Raymond Soto Jr., of Queens, pleaded not guilty and was denied bail on Wednesday.
Federal prosecutors say Soto Jr. worked with his father and a driver from the GardaWorld armored car service to steal the truck in November. They say there was $3.6 million in the vehicle and that $500,000 was taken from it.
Authorities say Soto Jr. also tried to destroy cellphone evidence. If convicted, he faces more than eight years in prison.
Raymond Soto Sr. and the truck driver have already been indicted in the case.
