Police say suspects trying to get away from a crime scene in Bridgeport hit a pedestrian, leaving the victim critically hurt.
Three juveniles are in jail after police caught them about a mile away from the original crime scene on Fairfield Avenue.
Police say the juveniles stole a Jeep and used it in two armed robberies: one in Black Rock and the other at the University of Bridgeport.
The stolen vehicle struck and critically injured a pedestrian on Fairfield Avenue, police say.
The string of crimes ended when the getaway vehicle crashed into a tree, according to police. One of the teens was taken to a hospital with injuries from the crash.
Police are not releasing the suspects' names because they are all underage.
