BRIDGEPORT -

Three juveniles were taken into custody following a police chase that turned up guns and ended in a crash in Bridgeport, police say.

The incident happened Tuesday night around 7 p.m. when the driver of the car failed to stop for police on Route 8 near Exit 3.

Police say they pursued the vehicle through I-95 into Stratford before the car turned back from Exit 29 and headed to Bridgeport.

The suspect's car crashed near Noble and Crescent Avenues and police took three juveniles into custody at the scene.

Police say three guns were recovered at the scene and that the car had previously been involved in a shots fired incident in the city earlier in the week.

No one was injured.
