Road conditions blustery but clear along I-84

Road conditions appeared very clear Monday despite the concern of frozen roadways after a snowstorm impacted the region this weekend followed by plummeting temperatures.
I-84 and secondary roads appeared dry. The storm's impacts were felt all across the state Saturday through Sunday where a mixture of snow, sleet, and rain fell and caused thousands of power outages.
Areas like Newtown and Monroe experienced more significant rainfall and snow totals, which resulted in thousands of people who lost power because of icing, according to Eversource Energy.
Icy cold temperatures of -13 degrees Monday will be coupled with an extreme wind chill of -10 to -20 degrees.
