Police: New Haven man pleads guilty to string of bank robberies

NEW HAVEN -

A New Haven man has pleaded guilty to attempting to rob several different banks.

Vincent Jones is accused of attempting to rob the Key Bank in East Haven, the Webster Bank in Orange and the Bank of America in Milford.

Police say Jones stole a combined total of $12,000.

He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
