Officials: Firefighter among 2 injured in Bridgeport fire
A house fire in Bridgeport sent two people to the hospital, including a firefighter.
The blaze broke out around 10:45 a.m. Sunday inside a three-family home on Garfield Avenue.
"We had a ladder company that was able to get around to the rear of the building and remove one victim who had severe burns and also was in respiratory distress,” said Deputy Chief Lance Edwards, of the Bridgeport Fire Department.

Authorities say a firefighter was also hurt, suffering second-degree burns to his arms and ears.
The victims were rushed to Bridgeport Hospital.
Authorities say multiple families have been displaced.
City Councilwoman Jeanette Herron says the impact is devastating.
"There's a massive fire in their house, they lose everything. And one of the family members says, ‘Oh, our pictures.’ So those memories you can't get back,” she says.
