Neighbors of a Fairfield woman who was allegedly shot and killed by her ex-husband say they're still trying to grapple with what happened.
Although the crime scene tape is gone and detectives have left the scene, the sight of the home where the incident occurred is still a reminder of what happened inside Sunday night.

"I'm in shock right now," one neighbor says.

Neighbors admit they did not know much about James and Catherine Taylor but still can't believe the 75-year-old is charged with murdering his ex-wife.
"Anytime we have a homicide in our town, they are so rare that it does stick with us," Fairfield police Capt. Robert Kalamaras says.
According to a police report, the Taylors were divorced for 25 years but remained in a relationship and even lived together at James' Redding Road home.

Police say they split up back in May but got back together in recent months.

James was arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court Monday and his bond was set at $2 million.
