This just in: Students at Fairfield school become news broadcasters

Some students at St. Thomas Aquinas School in Fairfield got the chance to deliver the news of the day.
"They learned public speaking, persuasive writing, how to be very concise, how to say the most in the least amount of time,” says teacher Colleen Fallon.  “We are working on debatable topics in language arts so that's very helpful."
School officials say they would like to make the student broadcast a yearly event.
The school serves 400 students in pre-K through eighth grade.
