EASTON -

Police say two vehicles collided head-on Saturday afternoon in Easton, sending three people to the hospital.

The incident happened just after noon in the area of Route 59 and Church Road.

Police say two people passing by the accident got out of their car to help a child, who had escaped from one of the vehicles in the crash on his own.

A female in another car had serious injuries and needed to be pulled from the vehicle.

Officials say all three people involved in the crash were transported to hospitals.

The road was closed for the rest of Saturday afternoon while police investigated.
