Fire officials: Power lines fall on gas station in Bridgeport
Officials say high-voltage power lines fell on a gas station in Bridgeport and were dangerously close to the pumps.
The incident happened at the Valero Gas Station on Huntington Turnpike, knocking out electricity at homes in the area.
Witnesses say power lines were sparking and popping on the ground just a few feet away from the pumps.
Firefighters say that by arriving quickly to the scene, they were able "to keep the situation... from spiraling out of control."
