A family is looking to raise money for their 3-year-old son who faces a rare neurological disorder called Alternating Hemiplegia of childhood, or AHC.

Josh and Corie Simpson have two sons, and their son Cameron is facing a rare and sometimes fatal disorder.

The couple says AHC causes paralysis, which is not only extremely painful but it can last for a week or more.

The odds of getting this disorder are a million to one.

With help from the nonprofit organization Al's Angels, the family is trying to meet a $100,000 goal to pay for a gene therapy project which doctors say could lead to a cure for Cameron.

"Cameron didn't ask for this, either, and he relies on us,” says Corie Simpson. “We're all he has so we're going to do whatever it takes to get him cured and get him the right treatments.”
