Friday morning's winter storm coated roads with snow and left a slushy wet mess in some areas.

Several schools and organizations issued a delayed start due to the storm which left the area around 9 a.m.

News 12 reporter Lauren Fabrizi says roads had a good amount of snow coating them and visibility was somewhat difficult at times because of the fast-falling snow.

More snow is expected in the forecast over the course of the next few days.
