Police: Wires fall from heavy snow, causing fire in Norwalk
Police say heavy snow knocked down wires, which then caught on fire on County Street in Norwalk Monday.
They say the fire left the road burned.
Wires also came down on Murray Street off of Newtown Turnpike. Police say the road was closed while crews worked to repair the wires.
The snow knocked down a tree on North Avenue near the Merritt Parkway overpass. Tree branches were also down in Milford.
Norwalk received nearly a foot of snow from Sunday's snowstorm.
