Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is scheduled to give testimony on Monday in Hartford on a gun storage bill.

The bill would tighten restrictions on storing guns. Ganim says it would require even ones that are unloaded to be properly stored if a minor is likely to gain access to it.

The mayor says he wants to make sure Connecticut stays a leader in fighting gun violence through laws.
