Nearly 3,000 pounds of Chef Boyardee products recalled
Conagra Brands, Inc. is recalling nearly 3,000 pounds of Chef Boyardee Rice with Chicken and Vegetables because it may be mislabeled.
The following product is being recalled:
7.5 oz. canned microwavable bowls of “Chef BOYARDEE rice with chicken & vegetables” on the label, and a package code of 210090151050045L, and ‘BEST BY’ date of Jul082020 on the bottom of the bowl.
The products were produced and packaged on Jan. 16, 2019.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 794” on the bottom of the bowl.
The microwavable bowls may actually contain Chef Boyardee Beef Ravioli.
Since beef ravioli is made with wheat and milk, the product could be a problem for people with allergies.
Consumers who purchased the products are urged not to consume them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
