Police: Bassick High School dismissed early after reported bomb threat

Posted: Updated:
BRIDGEPORT -
Bassick High school students were dismissed early Thursday after a report of a bomb threat, police say.

Police say graffiti within the building threatening a bombing led to an evacuation. A sweep of the school was performed by a police dog and state police bomb tech.

Nothing suspicious was located, and the school was slated to open as normal Friday.

Police say they are aggressively investigating to determine who was responsible for the threat.
