NYPD: Man considered person of interest in possible Ditmas Park hate crime
Police have released photos of the man believed to be responsible for the attack of a woman in Ditmas Park.
Police say on March 16, the man, caught on surveillance video, walked up to the woman on Avenue H and tried to trip her by kicking her feet. When she didn't fall, officials say he kicked her again in the shin.
The 41-year-old woman told News 12 the suspect came out of nowhere and that the two had never met before.
The mother of three claims she was targeted because of her religion and because she was wearing a hijab.
Police describe him as being 5 foot 7 inches and between 20 to 25 years old.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
