Connecticut police department post picture of lost peacock; reunite it with owner

REDDING -

The Redding Police Department reunited a lost peacock officers found in town with its rightful owner.

Police posted a picture of the exotic bird to their Facebook page Monday.

A caption under the picture reads "Lost Peacock Needs A Ride Home..."

Police say they found the peafowl strutting around in the area of Meeker Hill Road.

The bird was reunited with its rightful owners a short time later, police say.
