‘Colombian Hot Dog’ owner to student: I have your missing class ring
A man who makes unique hotdogs in southwestern Connecticut is trying to return a special ring to its owner.
Juan Forero, of the Colombian Hot Dog, is a Spanish teacher who runs the food truck with his family.
He says after cleaning up the truck recently, he found a 2019 class ring from St. Joseph’s in Trumbull. He is spreading the word, so he can get the ring back to the student in time for graduation.
“I know the value these come with,” Forero told News 12. “Once I saw it I said I need to get it back to the original owner.”
If he finds the student, Forero says he will feed him a big meal, too.
The Colombian Hot Dog is known for its unique toppings, such as pineapple sauce.
