Early learning center renamed after retired board member

BRIDGEPORT -

A ribbon-cutting was held Friday for the newly opened Cora Wright Early Learning Center in Bridgeport.

The anti-poverty agency ABCD runs the Bennett Street building which was renamed after the 90-year-old former board member.

Wright dedicated 50 years of her life to the agency.

She says she is deeply honored to have such an important facility bearing her name.
