Shelton HS principal on paid leave amid mysterious investigation

The principal at Shelton High School is on paid administrative leave amid an investigation involving multiple agencies, including police.

Administrators will not comment on what prompted the investigation. They say Dr. Beth Smith is on leave for her benefit, and the benefit of the students.

An alert posted on the Shelton Public Schools website says to “Please beware of rumors!” and says she was not arrested.
