Weston baseball field undergoing maintenance repairs ahead of home opener
Problems with the Weston High School baseball field have delayed the start of their home games.
Parents say that for years, there have been problems that include bad drainage and an overall lack of maintenance.
Frustrated players had previously called the diamond dangerous. They say one player rolled his ankle trying to practice on the field.
Weston Superintendent Dr. William McKersie told News 12 that an outside contractor began working on the field Tuesday afternoon.
The hope is that the team will be able to have their home opener on the field Thursday.
