Police, family plead for public’s help to find gunman in triple shooting
Bridgeport police renewed their plea today for public help solving a triple shooting that left one man dead.
Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez spent the morning reviewing the details of a triple shooting that killed 21-year-old Tyron Heard on the night of March 10. Police joined Heard’s family in asking the public to help bring a killer to justice.
Authorities say the killer fired 20 shots into a car on Hollister Avenue. Heard was killed and two others in the vehicle were wounded.
"We're trying to bring justice to Heard's family," says Perez.

Nearly a month has gone by without an arrest. Perez says for every day that passes, murder investigations typically become tougher to solve. He's asking any witnesses who may have left the scene before police arrived to consider coming forward and helping investigators.

"The way that this happened, it was just so reckless, it was so senseless, that the Bridgeport Police Department has done extensive work on solving this homicide,” says Perez. “However, we're asking anyone with information to please contact the Bridgeport Police Department."

The victim's mom didn't want her face shown on camera, but said she was heartbroken following the death of her son. She described him as a popular and hardworking member of the community.
Sharing childhood photographs, she said she'll never recover from the pain of losing him.

"My son was very outgoing, everybody loved him,” she said. “He didn't bother anybody, he was full of life, he was a happy kid. For somebody to do this to my child, it hurts."
