Police ID human remains found in Binney Park in 2017

Greenwich police have identified human remains found in Binney Park in 2017.
Park workers found the first bone two years ago in a stream. Police then launched a massive search of the entire park and found several bones that they said were from the same person. The state crime lab then analyzed the DNA samples.
Police said Friday that the remains are those of Peter Robinson, a man originally from Norwalk who was last known to be homeless in the Stamford area. Officials say he was about 50 years old at the time of his death in 2015 or 2016.
Police have notified his family but are now trying to figure out how he died. Anyone with information is asked to call Greenwich police.
