PARIS -

Emergency crews continue to pick through the charred remains of ancient wooden beams, which turned the world-famous Notre Dame cathedral into an inferno on Monday night.

Meanwhile, everyone from individual donors, to some of the world's most-recognized luxury brands are pitching in to rebuild the cathedral.

French president Emmanuel Macron said he wants the cathedral rebuilt in five years, however experts say that a full restoration is likely to take 10 to 15 years.

One of the most damaged parts is the centuries old wooden roof. Although the stone walls seem to remain largely intact, they could also present some challenges moving forward, experts say.

Most people say it will be worth the wait to see of the world’s most recognizable cathedrals restored.
