THOMASTON -

Two juveniles were arrested and BB guns were recovered by police in Thomaston after a car crash Tuesday.

The incident happened near Litchfield Street and Northfield Road around 4:20 a.m.

Investigators say they are searching for two more juveniles who were possibly armed with BB guns.

A message was posted on the Thomaston Police Department's Facebook page Tuesday morning that read, "Residents are urged to lock their doors to homes and vehicles, and to report suspicious persons to Thomaston Police Department."

Police were searching the area near the crash for the two other juveniles believed to be connected to the incident, but say they don’t believe they are in the area anymore.

Police say there is no longer a threat to public safety at this time.
