Wake held for ‘Queen of the Paranormal’ Lorraine Warren

Friends, family and fans gathered Tuesday night to say goodbye to Connecticut's "queen of the paranormal."
Lorraine Warren, of Monroe, died last week. Her wake was held Tuesday evening in Trumbull.
Warren was born in Bridgeport, and put the state on the map as a center of paranormal activity for more than half a century.
Her cases became the basis for the Amityville Horror series, as well a as a series of books.
She also created a thriving community of followers who believe in the paranormal and see Warren and her late husband as gurus.
A funeral is planned for Wednesday. She will be buried at a cemetery in Monroe that, appropriately, some people believe to be haunted.
