The team of Team 26 cyclists trek to DC, call for stricter gun laws  representing the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook shooting left Newtown Friday.
The group will ride first to Baltimore, Maryland, stopping along the way in Peekskill, New York, Morristown and Trenton, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Newark, Delaware.
Team 26 will also head west to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with stops in Gettysburg and Chambersburg, and a visit to the Flight 93 National Memorial before ending near the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Eleven Jewish congregants were shot and killed during a Shabbat service at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in October 2018.
The 600-mile ride is meant to reduce gun violence and to stomp out hate, organizers say.
