Woodbridge held its municipal election for first selectman Monday, and decided to stick with its incumbent.
Democrat Beth Heller held on to her seat, defeating Republican Ed Weinberg by 550 votes.
Newtown, Litchfield, Bethany and Bantam also held municipal elections Monday.
The big concern in the race was the overgrown Country Club of Woodbridge. Weinberg suggested studying it to determine what to do with it. But Heller backed a controversial plan to redevelop part of it into high-density senior housing.
