Tuesday marks the first annual Gatsby Day in Westport.
Author Richard Webb will join Sen. Richard Blumenthal in celebrating the accomplishment.
Gatsby Day will commemorate the influence Westport had on author F. Scott Fitzgerald, who wrote the Great Gatsby.
The ceremony will take place at 244 South Compo Road, where Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda signed the lease for a property they rented there on May 14, 1920.
Webb's book about the couple's wild experiences in Westport has brought international attention to the town, and the role it played in shaping their legacy.
