HOBOKEN -

The body of a missing Maryland man was found in the Hudson River in Hoboken, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officials say police officers received reports of a body in the water a little after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Lackawanna Ferry Station in Hoboken. Investigators identified the man as 27-year-old Jaime Kwebetchou. Kwebetchou’s family reported him missing on May 9.

The cause and manner of the death is under investigation, according to authorities.

This is the second body that was pulled from the Hudson River this week. A body was also recovered Monday morning near Exchange Place in Jersey City.

Anyone who may have information on either death is asked to call the prosecutor’s office at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip on the prosecutor’s website.
