Followers, protesters come out for Rev. Graham's 'Decision America Rally'

The son of America's most famous evangelist came to Bridgeport Tuesday, along with some protesters.

Followers of the Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the Rev. Billy Graham, made their way to Seaside Park for the Decision America Rally.

The faithful were excited, but the reverend's statements on homosexuality and presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg brought protesters. There was a free speech zone where people were allowed to protest peacefully.

People say they came to the event to get "spiritually embraced" and to "enjoy the word" of Graham.

They also say the event is spiritual, not political.

Graham told News 12 the theme of his tour was not intended to be political.
