WESTPORT -

A pregnant Westport woman is searching for the owners of a dog that bit her while she was running.

Angela Ryan says the incident happened Friday morning in front of Longshore Club Park on Compo Road South.

She says the dog is an orange-colored doodle that weighed about 20 pounds and its owner appeared to be around 60 years old.

Ryan says the owner tried to restrain the dog, but it lunged at her as she passed.

She says she wants to know if the dog is vaccinated for rabies.
