"We urge you to consider CT:" Gov. Lamont pens letter to Netflix, Disney, and AMC execs

Gov. Ned Lamont and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz are urging Netflix, Disney, and AMC to consider moving their operations to Connecticut after the three media companies openly condemned new legislation in Georgia to curb women's reproductive rights.
All three companies have locations based in Georgia and have threatened to leave the state over the newly passed legislation.
Gov. Lamont penned three separate letters to executives of Netflix, Disney, and AMC on June 5.
"We urge you to consider Connecticut," Lamont wrote in each letter.
In the letters, Lamont attempts to entice executives by crediting Connecticut's 15 years of success in the film, television and digital media sectors.
Gov. Lamont told executives that Connecticut has a highly skilled workforce, excellent K-12 school systems and superior quality of life.
The governor credits Connecticut for being a strategic location between New York and Boston, which provides "key media markets and resources."
The governor also mentions $843 million in tax credits that were issued to businesses which spurned over $2.8 billion of expenditures in state.
