17-year-old girl who went missing in New Canaan found in NYC

NEW CANAAN -

New Canaan police say a missing 17-year-old girl has been found safe in New York City.

Melissa Cheyenne Davis went missing from New Canaan on June 13.

Police say Davis and her family are from North Carolina, but were visiting family in Connecticut.

Police say Davis was found by NYPD officers after police in New Canaan received a tip from a family member.

Davis has been reunited with her parents.
