An employee fought off four men accused of attempting an armed robbery at a Bridgeport bakery early Wednesday.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. at Chaves Bakery on Madison Ave.
The employee says the five men broke into a back gate behind the store, and one of them was armed with a gun.
He says the men were also wearing masks.
The employee says he threw a chair at the men and shut the lights off before they ran away.
He says it's the second time in five months that the shop was targeted.
Police responded to the scene after the incident.
