A woman was found dead in her North Stamford pool Friday, police say.

Police identified the woman as Christine Manna, 58. 

Capt. Richard Conklin told News 12 Manna was found face down in the pool at her Woodley Road home around 8:30 a.m. Police say she was found in the pool by painters who came to finish up some work. 

 Manna was the only one living at the home, according to police.

A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death. Sgt Paul Guzda said he's pretty confident there was no foul play involved.

"Everything we've discovered thus far tells us that this in all likelihood was accidental but it's still very early in the investigation," said Guzda.
