Rockville Centre's Crystal Dunn is among the group of women who brought another World Cup title to the U.S., but she isn't the only source of motivation for a local soccer group.
Kim Conway Haley coaches the Rockville Centre Legacy Under-13 girls soccer team. Haley was a member of the U.S. national team from 1992-94.
Haley's team practices on the same field Dunn played on a decade ago.
Players not only celebrated the World cup victory -- they took notes from the players. One tried to learn how to split defenders like Rose Lavelle, who scored in the World Cup final.
Haley's team recently made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Youth Soccer Regionals in West Virginia.
