MTA officials: Person hit, killed by train near Southampton station

MTA officials say a person was hit and killed by a train near the Southampton station overnight Sunday.
They say the man was struck around 1:30 a.m. There were no passengers onboard the train at the time.
Service was suspended on the Montauk branch while the medical examiner was on the scene.
News 12 is told the trains are back or close to on schedule Sunday morning.
