(AP) - Authorities say they've broken up a heroin mill and seized tens of thousands of doses of the drug.
Union County prosecutors say Sean Henderson is charged with maintaining a narcotics production facility, possessing heroin with the intent to distribute and other drug offenses. It's not known if the 30-year-old Elizabeth man has retained an attorney.
The charges announced Monday stem from a raid Thursday at an Irvington apartment. County, local and federal law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant there and seized over 70,000 doses of suspected heroin and about 150 grams of raw heroin, along with packaging materials and other related items.
Prosecutors say the seized heroin had an estimated street value of over $800,000.
Henderson was arrested in Elizabeth on Thursday.
