Family affair: Father, 3 sons work same shift for Greenwich PD

A father and his three sons all worked the same shift for the Greenwich Police Department on Thursday.
Sgt. Michael O'Connor and his sons, Michael, Pat and William, are working together for just one day. Michael O'Connor is set to retire at the end of July after 35 years with the department.
Over the past few years, O'Connor has worked in the Marine Department. and rarely crossed paths with his sons while on duty. But on Thursday, he was his sons' "supervisor," says his son, William O'Connor.
"Today was the first day he was technically our supervisor," William O'Connor says. "Not that it's nerve-wracking, because…he is our dad, but at the same time, you always want to make your dad proud."
"All my memories of growing up are him in a uniform pulling up in a cruiser," Patrick O'Conner says.
When Sgt. O'Connor retires at the end of this month, he will become an auxiliary officer with the department and volunteer a few hours each month.
