Animal control asks for donations for injured dog

WOODBRIDGE -

Woodbridge Municipal Animal Control is asking for donations to help a dog that was hit by two cars earlier this week.

Merritt had to have her right leg removed after it was severely dislocated. She is now in a foster home recovering from surgery.

The animal control department thinks she was most likely tortured and used as a bait dog.

They say Merritt has a long recovery ahead of her.
