Heat advisory issued for part of Fairfield County as temps soar near 90

CONNECTICUT -

A heat advisory is in effect for northern Fairfield County as temperatures could reach 90 degrees, News 12 meteorologists say.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for northern Fairfield County from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday

Heat index values could reach 95 degrees.

Officials warn the heat could increase the risk of heat exhaustion during outdoor activities or extended time spent outside.
