Motorcyclist seriously injured in Orange crash

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday after a crash involving an SUV in Orange, police say.

The crash happened on Route 1 near Dogwood Road around 6:20 a.m.  

Officials say the motorcycle was heading south on Route 1 when a SUV pulled out of Dogwood Road.

The two collided and the 27-year-old driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the 46-year-old driver of the SUV was not seriously injured.
