3 accused of stealing $4K merchandise from Westport Ulta

A couple is accused of stealing more than $4,000 of merchandise from Ulta in Westport before leading police on a brief chase.
Robert Keeshawn, 31, of New Britain, and Cynphanie Merritt, 27, of Windsor, face multiple charges including larceny and engaging officers in a pursuit.
Police say the two walked into Ulta Beauty on 1365 Post Road East in Westport and began filling bags with merchandise.
Police say employees tried to speak with the couple, but they both ran from the store.
Westport police began following the suspects’ car but they would not stop.
Fairfield police eventually stopped the car on the northbound Merritt Parkway rest area. 
Police say they found bags from Ulta Beauty inside of the car containing stolen bottles of perfume as well as security sensor tags that had been removed from merchandise.
The value of the stolen items was $4,779. A female juvenile suspect was also inside of the car and was arrested and charged, police say.
