The government of Singapore is partnering with Fitbit to help its citizens get healthier. The fitness tracker company made a deal to provide its devices to the people in Singapore. Starting next month, residents can sign up for a monthly subscription service that includes a year of one-on-one coaching. Singapore’s aim is to reduce health costs by encouraging its citizens to adopt healthier habits.
The first title from the Obamas’ distribution deal with Netflix, called “American Factory,” is now available on the streaming platform. The documentary follows the story of a Chinese auto glass factory in China. The film took home the documentary prize at Sundance last winter. Shortly after, the film was taken up by the Obama's Higher Ground Productions.
DoorDash is getting closer to driverless delivery. The food delivery company has acquired Scotty Labs, a startup that is working on autonomous and remote-controlled vehicle technology. Scotty Labs has recently tested a self-driving truck on a highway in California and successfully controlled a car remotely. This comes as delivery companies have been working to test automated robots in place of human deliverers.
