Norwalk police warn public after 8 overdoses, 5 deaths in one week

Posted: Updated:

The Norwalk police Department is warning the public Thursday after five people died from overdoses in the course of a week.

Norwalk police wrote on their Facebook page that there had been eight overdoses since August 28, and that five of them resulted in deaths.

They say Norwalk detectives are investigating the incidents.

Police say they want to remind the public of the dangers of opioid abuse.

Anyone who would like to report opioid abuse can call the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3111.
