Prosecutors have increased the charges against a former Trumbull police officer accused of sexually assaulting a teenager.
According to the CT Post, Michael Gonzalez has been charged with third-degree sexual assault.
He was previously charged with using the Trumbull Police Department's computer system to get the address and car registration information for the victim.
The judge issued Gonzalez another order that he stay away from the alleged victim and her family.
Gonzalez retired from Trumbull's force after being arrested on charges of assaulting a female officer he was having an affair with.
