Old Saybrook police use security system to track stolen car in chase

Posted: Updated:

A stolen car from Old Saybrook led to a police chase that ended in Stratford, resulting in three arrests.

Police say they got reports of a car being stolen around 5 a.m. Monday. Traffic hindered their response in Branford, where they lost sight of the car on I-95.

Police then called the manufacturer of the stolen Dodge Charger and were able to use the car's security system to track the vehicle. They eventually caught up with three juveniles and arrested them off of Exit 32.

Another vehicle was also stolen early Monday in Old Saybrook and one person was arrested, police say. All four are in custody.
